3 bridges on Bluff Road closed for replacement
The South Carolina Department of Transportation on Thursday closed three Bluff Road bridges believed damaged during the October flood.
Inspections found “evidence of continued ... erosion around the bridge supports,” SCDOT said.
A timetable for how long the Richland County bridges will be closed has yet to be determined.
Traffic will be detoured onto Old Bluff Road while the bridges are closed for replacement, SCDOT said.
