Swift thinking for swiftwater rescues

The Columbia Fire Department conducted the training to certify firefighters as swiftwater rescue technicians. Crews from Irmo, West Columbia and Columbia took part in exercises including strainer drills where firefighters are taught to perform self rescues and to avoid entrapments by debris.
