Deputies investigating dead body found at Richland County boat launch

Richland County deputies are investigating a suspicious death after finding a dead body in a vehicle near a boat launch in Eastover.

Officers found the victim just before 6 p.m. Tuesday at the boat launch at Two Rivers Road and McCords Ferry Road, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. EMS also responded, and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Officials have not released the victim’s name or manner of death at this time.
