Residents of Eastover were a little less isolated Wednesday afternoon when the South Carolina Department of Transportation reopened the Congress Road bridge that was washed out during the October floods.

The Congress Road bridge was one of 97 being replaced in Richland County after the historic flooding last fall. Four of the replaced bridges are in Eastover and the Lower Richland County area.
