Columbia, Richland County planners want input on development in Whaley, Olympia, Granby neighborhoods

Columbia and Richland County planners want to hear input from Whaley, Olympia and Granby residents about future development in their neighborhoods.

The city and county will hold two public meetings this week for residents to discuss their ideas for the future of the “Three Mills” area just southwest of downtown Columbia.

A team of consultants will work with city and county officials to draft a “Capital City Mill District Master Plan” for development in the area.

The meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday at 701 Whaley. Another round of meetings is set for June.
