Some Hopkins residents told to boil their water

A broken 8 inch water main has prompted Columbia Water Works officials to issue a boil water advisory for residents of the 200 block of Clue Savannah Street in Hopkins.

Residents of the affected area should vigorously boil for at least 60 seconds before use any water used for drinking, food preparation or making ice. Anyone living near the affected area who has experienced a drop in water pressure should follow the same advice.

These precautions should be followed until you are told otherwise to avoid possible bacterial contamination.
