Update: Wrecks clogging interstates near Columbia cleared

S.C. DOT reported a wreck at the intersection of Interstate 20 and Interestate 26 that slowed traffic for several miles has been cleared.

Wrecks in the Columbia area are clogging traffic for several miles on interstates coming into Columbia.

S.C. Department of Transportation is reporting a wreck occurred at the intersection of Interstate 26 and Interstate 20 this morning, which is slowing eastbound traffic on both highways to less than 30 mph.

DOT signs along I-26 are warning motorists of delays of 50 minutes or more, as well as delays up to 35 minutes on nearby U.S. 378.

State troopers are also warning drivers that eastbound traffic on I-20 near Monticello road is slow due to roadway construction.

Another wreck on I-20 near White Pond Road near Elgin is also causing slight delays in the westbound lanes.
