Man taken to hospital Wednesday night after argument turns violent

Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting Wednesday night that sent one man to the hospital and another to the sheriff’s department to answer questions.

Deputies were called to 212 Frasier Fir Lane in the Winchester subdivision off Clemson Road around 8 p.m. said sheriff’s department spokesman Curtis Wilson.

The deputies were told that two men had been arguing when one pulled out a handgun and shot the other. The man who was shot in the lower body was taken to Palmetto Health Richland with what are thought to be non-life-threatening injuries, Wilson said.
