Columbia’s Maxcy Gregg, Greenview pools to open in late May

Columbia residents can dive into the city’s public pools later this month.

The city’s two outdoor public pools will open for the summer May 28 and stay open until Sept. 5.

The Maxcy Gregg pool at 1655 Park Circle and the Greenview pool at 6700 David St. will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 28 and from 2 to 6 p.m. the next day. The pools also will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day.

The Maxcy Gregg pool’s regular hours will be Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5:45 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m..

The remodeled Greenview pool is being dedicated at 10 a.m. Saturday and will feature a kiddie pool, a water slide and a picnic area. Its regular hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 5:45 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m.
