Man found dead at Columbia apartment complex

Columbia police responded to a report of gunfire Monday morning at Colony Apartments and found one person dead.

Upon arriving at the Bailey Street apartment complex – just off West Beltline Boulevard – responders found a man dead, police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said.

Investigators do not suspect foul play, Timmons said. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts will determine what caused the man’s death.
