Severe weather alert issued for part of central SC

The Columbia office of the National Weather Service issued a strong thunderstorm warning for southeastern Lee, northeastern Clarendon,and east central Sumter counties.

Shortly before 9pm, the storm was located along a line from near Cartersville to near Mulberry with 60 mile per hour winds and nickel-sized hail.
