The Double Dutch Forces of Columbia teams continued to add major awards in jump-roping Saturday.

Six of the 12 teams finished first and the rest no lower than third in competition with others from across the nation and Japan in various age divisions at the American Double Dutch League World Invitational Championship, coach Joy Holman said.

That brings the total of such first-place titles in such competition to 133 since the teams were organized in 1985, she said.

A total of 27 fourth-graders through college age from the Columbia area took part in the competition in Sumter, she said.

The teams train at Martin Luther King Park in Columbia.
