Fire destroys home near Red Bank, displaces family
A home near Red Bank was destroyed by fire just after 10 p.m. Sunday.
Firefighters and EMS responded to the house fire at the 300 block of Double Eagle Circle, according to a news release. Upon arrival, responders saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the roof.
There were no injuries reported from the fire, according to the release. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, but the home was destroyed, suffering about $200,000 in damage.
Investigators believe the fire started in one of the home’s back bedrooms, then spread to the roof. Officials are still investigating.
The Red Cross is helping the three family members who were displaced from the home.
