Jenkinsville man killed in collision with tree in Little Mountain

Authorities have identified a Jenkinsville man who was killed Tuesday when he crashed into a tree.

Nelson Robichaux Peach, 59, was driving along the 1200 block of R. Stoudemeyer Road in Little Mountain around 11:45 p.m., when he left the road and crashed into a tree, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Wednesday in a statement.

An autopsy revealed Peach died of blunt force injuries to his neck and chest. Additional details have not been released about the crash, but the S.C. Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
