Officer charged with sexual conduct with teen in police car
A Fountain Inn Police Officer was charged with sexual conduct with a minor in his city-issued patrol car while on duty and other acts, according to documents released by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Adam Kyle Snelgrove, 31, was also accused of contacting the 15-year-old with the intent of persuading her to have sex, and fondling her at Frankie's Fun Park in Greenville County.
All of the incidents took place in Greenville County between May 1, 2012 and November 16, 2012 while Snelgrove served as a police officer.
He served as a police officer for in Fountain Inn for about seven years, according to SLED.
He was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, criminal sexual solicitation of a minor, and misconduct in office, according to SLED.
His bond was set at $25,000 and he has been booked into the Greenville County Detention Cent
