Marvel this: Soda City Comic Con characters strutting their stuff
Columbia is rolling out the red carpet this weekend to welcome all manner of heroes, immortals, magicians and beings from far-reaching galaxies for Soda City’s second annual Comic Con.
This intergalactic event is being held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday.
Folks are dressing up as their favorite comic or fantasy character. They get to meet like-minded beings but, also, they get to watch premieres of upcoming TV shows and short films – something unique to the circuit, organizers say.
Some 3,500 people attended last year over two days – and that was during the city’s flood.
