Lexington man accused of spreading child porn on social media
Officers arrested a Lexington man after they reportedly discovered he was spreading child pornography on the internet.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested Jason Michael Howard, 44, Thursday, according to a news release from Attorney General Alan Wilson.
Investigators believe Howard was distributing child pornography via social media.
Howard is charged with three counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor. If found guilty, Howard could face up to 10 years in prison on each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
