Hotel employee injured in early morning armed robbery

Columbia police are searching for two masked suspects who allegedly injured a hotel employee during an armed robbery.

Two suspects entered Microtel Inn and Suites, 7504 Garners Ferry Road, around 2 a.m. Friday, according to Columbia Police Department.

Police said at least one suspect brandished a firearm at a clerk and hit him in the face.

The suspects then stole money before leaving the hotel.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and has been released.

The suspect were wearing all black clothing and wore masks during the incident.
