Victim taken to hospital after Wednesday night shooting off Shop Road

Richland County sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired call Wednesday night on Aster Street south of Williams-Brice Stadium off Shop Road.

A victim was found shot in the lower body, Sgt. Brittany Jackamonis said. The victim was taken to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital with what are thought to be non-life threatening injuries, she said.
