Camden Police and other agencies are searching for a suspect in a fatal Nov. 8 shooting.

An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Anthony Cordell McMillan, 22, police said.

Police responded to a "shots fired" call at the Waffle House parking lot near I-20 exit 98 about 6 p.m. Two subjects were reported to have fled the scene in separate vehicles and one of them ended up at the Kershaw Health emergency room with a gunshot victim.

Police said the victim died the next morning.

The Camden Police Department, Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, SLED and DEA conducted an investigation and believe the shooting was related to an illegal drug transaction that didn't go as planned.

McMillan may be driving a dark colored 2013 Kia Optima with S.C. tag LIK223, police said. He is believed to be armed and dangerous and anyone with information about him is asked to call the Camden Police Department at 803-425-6025 or Crimestoppers 1-888-CRIME-SC.
