North Pointe Apartment shooting victim dies, two suspects in custody
An argument escalated into a fatal shooting at the North Pointe Estates apartment complex late Wednesdaynight.
The victim, a man who was shot in the upper body, died Thursday at a hospital where he had been taken for treatment, Columbia police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said in a news release.
Police officers have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting, Timmons said.
Kumasi Shamir Lewis, 21, had been charged Wednesday with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. A murder warrant was being sought against him Thursday,Timmons said.
The second suspect, Rolland Donall Graves Jr., was arrested Thursday. Charges agains him were unavailable Thursday night.
