Lexington County Magistrate Gary Reinhart this morning set a $60,000 surety bond for Kimberly Wooten on two charges stemming from a string of arson fires last year.
Wooten, 42, of Irmo, remained in the Lexington County jail as of late this morning, said Lexington County Sheriff’s spokesman Maj. John Allard.
Irmo police said Wooten was arrested Tuesday on warrants after being released from a Columbia psychiatric facility, where she had been committed to last May. The warrants accuse her of setting fires in March 2006 outside two homes on Coldstream Drive and Cedarbrook Court in Lexington County.
She faces more serious arson charges in Richland County in connection with a string of blazes March 22, 2006, that destroyed four homes and damaged two others in the Winrose subdivision in the Dutch Fork area.
