Gun thief wanted by Richland Co. sheriff

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a suspect wanted for burglary.

Jordan Deshawn Waden, 17, is wanted for burglary, grand larceny, and safecracking, according to public information officer Sgt. Brittany Jackamonis.

On April 28, Waden allegedly broke into a residence on Westgrove Court and stole six guns along with ammunition: three rifles and three shotguns, Jackamonis said. Waden also stole electronics and jewelry.

The items total approximately $7,000, according to Jackamonis, who said investigators identified Waden from previous break-ins in the area.
