One person shot, another being questioned after Apple Valley shooting

Columbia Police are on the scene of a shooting Saturday night that left a male victim shot in the upper body.

The incident occurred on the 2100 block of Apple Valley Road, police said on their Twitter account around 11 p.m.

One person was detained for questioning.

The incident was thought to be an isolated event, police said.
