Columbia police arrest teen in car break-in investigation
The Columbia Police Department arrested a teenager in connection with an car break-in investigation.
Raheem Antwann Brown, 19, has been a charged with Breaking into a Motor Vehicle and Larceny, according to the police.
Brown is accused of pulling on several car door handles shortly after midnight on Sunday along the 600 and 700 blocks of Meadow Street.
After receiving a description of the suspect and while circulating the area for him, Brown was detained at the 2300 block of Blossom Street and confessed to pulling on vehicle door handles and breaking into at least two vehicles, the police said.
Brown is accused of stealing ammunition and vehicle paperwork, including insurance documents from one vehicle, according to the police, adding the stolen items were recovered and collected as evidence in the case.
