1 injured in early morning shooting at Columbia hotel

A woman was seriously injured after a shooting at a Columbia hotel early Monday.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. at the Baymont Inn and Suites on East Exchange Boulevard, the Columbia Police Department said in a tweet. That’s off Garners Ferry Road near Interstate 77.

Details about the shooting are limited, but police say the victim has serious injuries.

There was no word on arrests.
