Columbia man indicted on drug and gun charges
A federal grand jury indicted a Columbia man on 9 drug and weapons counts following an investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Abdullah Jabbar “Wap” Aquil, 42, faces charges of intention to distribute heroin, using a firearm during drug trafficking and felon in possession of a fire arm and ammunition, US Attorney Beth Drake said in a news release on Tuesday.
Aquil was arrested by Richland County authorities in February, 2017 according to Richland County court documents available online. He has a lengthy rap sheet dating back to the 1990s.
