Sumter deputies charge man with sexually assaulting minor

A Rembert man has been arrested and is accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Lowery Williams, 36, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years of age, according to a Braden Bunch, a Sumter County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Williams engaged in sexual battery with a female minor by sexually assaulting her between June 1, 2007 and July 31, 2007, according to an arrest warrant.
