UPDATE: Man turns himself in after seeing reports of Garners Ferry Road armed robbery

The Richland County Sheriff’s department charged Allen William Brown, 50, of armed robbery Friday night in connection to an armed robbery earlier in the week.

Brown turned himself in after seeing a report featuring surveillance video about the armed robbery of the Circle K at 701 Garner Ferry Road early Wednesday morning.

Brown allegedly entered the business just after midnight on Wednesday , presented a handgun and demanded money from the employee. .

Brown was being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Saturday afternoon.
