Man injured in West Columbia shooting

A man was injured in a shooting Wednesday night in West Columbia.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department was on scene after 8 p.m. on Villas Court off Emanuel Church Road.

The man, who was shot in the upper body, was taken to the hospital, the sheriff’s department said on its Twitter account.
