Two women robbed of phones and wallets in Five Points

Two women walking in Five Points around 3 a.m. Saturday, August 5, were first chatted up and then robbed by 3 young men, they told police.

Surveillance photos of the suspected robbers were released by the police in hopes that the public can help identify them.

The three alleged robbers “were initially friendly with them while walking through a nearby parking lot,” the Columbia Police said in a news release Thursday.

The two women, in their early 20s, said the men forcibly “stole cell phones, cash and wallets.. before running away.” Neither victim was injured during the incident, the police said.
