Man shot multiple times in northern Richland County

Deputies are working a late-night shooting in which a man was shot multiple times in northern Richland County.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday on Swallow Court at Heron Drive, according to Lt. Curtis Wilson, a sheriff’s department spokesman. That’s in the Arlington Estates area near U.S. 321 and Koon Store Road.

The male victim, who was shot multiple times in the lower body, told deputies he was near that intersection when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside the car fired shots at him, Wilson said. The vehicle then left the area.

The victim was taken to Palmetto Health Richland with non-life threatening injuries, Wilson said. A description of the vehicle and the suspects was not available Sunday.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
