Columbia police search for SUV driver involved in moped collision

The Columbia Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying the driver of an SUV involved in a collision with a moped.

The incident occurred in the early morning on Aug. 19 at 1400 Harden Street, blocks away from Lady and Gervais streets, according to the police.

The moped driver, a 70-year-old male, received multiple injuries as a result of being forced off of the road while operating the moped, the police said.

Police are searching for a dark colored SUV that was seen traveling behind the moped on Harden Street.
