Sumter County teen located in Clarendon County

The 15-year-old teen who had been reported missing since March 23 has been located, according to Braden Bunch, a Sumter County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Harley Ray Ard was seen entering the Department of Social Services offices in Clarendon County about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Bunch said. Ard is being transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office where he will be reunited with his family.

An investigation into Ard’s disappearance will continue, and charges against others are possible, Bunch said.

Ard was last seen at his home in the 4200 block of Bethel Church Road in Sumter, according to Bunch.
