Sumter man accused of stealing cache of weapons arrested

One day after he was put on the Sumter County Sheriff’s Department’s Most Wanted list, a called-in tip led deputies to a 20-year-old Sumter man wanted for the theft of 10 firearms, 3 knives and jewelry from a Sumter home late last month.

Alexander Zachary "Alex" Goodwin is charged with grand larceny. He was taken into custody around 4 pm Friday without incident, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.
