Gilbert man sentenced for violent crimes faces charges in Lexington
A Gilbert man has been sentenced to prison in connection with violent crimes in Edgefield County.
Steve Ashley Dubose, 32, was sentenced to 20 years for first degree burglary, five years each for possession of burglary tools, grand larceny, possession of a stolen pickup and three years for failing to stop for a law enforcement officer, according to Solicitor Donnie Myers.
Dubose was arrested in Edgefield on July 29, 2014, and released on bond, Myers said. While out on bond, Dubose was arrested in Lexington County for firing multiple shots at a Lexington deputy.
Dubose has pending charges in Lexington County of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into the deputy’s vehicle, second degree burglary, grand larceny and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, Myers said.
