Sumter County Sheriff’s most wanted suspect captured in Myrtle Beach

A suspect on the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office most wanted list has been captured in Myrtle Beach.

Roosevelt Green, 40, was wanted on kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature in Sumter County, according to department spokesman Braden Bunch. Green now faces drug charges in Myrtle Beach.

Green’s Sumter County charges stem from an incident on March 28 in which he allegedly held a pregnant woman at gunpoint, forced her into a car and ordered her to drive her around Sumter County for several hours, Bunch said.

Green is also accused of making several threats to kill both the victim and the victim’s family during the incident, Bunch said. Green is also accused of punching the pregnant victim in the stomach.

Green remains in custody in Horry County to allow law enforcement to transport him to Sumter County, Bunch said.
