FBI looking for man who may have information on child victim

Federal Bureau of Investigtaion (FBI)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who may have critical information about the identity of a child sexual assault victim.

Initial images of the man pictured with a child were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in January 2008, according to a release. Investigators believe the images may contain several clues that may help with the identification of the child.

Additional images relevant to the investigation include those depicting the man wearing a silver ring on his left ring finger, the victim wearing blue and white Velcro Nike brand tennis shoes and the background where the images were taken, according to the release.

Investigators do not have specific details linking the man to a particular state or area of the United States, and both his identity and whereabouts are currently unknown.

The man is likely between the ages of 30 and 45 with dark hair, according to the release.

Investigators said no charges have been filed in the case, and the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Anyone with information should call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324.)
