Man shot at Columbia gas station after he & woman fought three suspects, police say

A man was shot at a Columbia gas station Tuesday night after he and a woman were involved in an altercation with three suspects, which the Columbia Police Department has asked the public to help identify.

The incident occurred at the One Love gas station, located at 3922 West Beltline Blvd., not far from the intersection with Two Notch Road, according to the police, who responded around 8 p.m.

The man who was shot, and a female acquaintance, argued and fought with the three suspects before the shooting occurred, police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the police.

The Columbia Police Department continues to investigate the motive for the shooting.
