A domestic incident Thursday involved a stabbing, described as a “machete attack,” by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Ezra Foster, 32, is charged with attempted murder and possessing a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.

Lexington County deputies arrested a Foster early Thursday morning after responding to a stabbing that happened during a domestic incident on Cochin Court.

“According to information we gathered at the scene, Foster attacked the victim with a machete,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a news release. “The victim was able to get away and another person who lives in the home called 911.”

The person who was stabbed was transported to an area hospital but is expected to recover, Koon said.
