Arsenal of weapons, and more, discovered in search of South Carolina residence
An arsenal of weapons, controlled substances and other stolen property were recently recovered from a South Carolina home.
As part of a Nov. 17 search at a residence in McBee, four stolen pistols, five rifles, various ammunition, 16 oxycodone pills and various stolen property were recovered, according to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office which was part of a joint investigation with multiple law enforcement agencies.
Larry Eugene Alford, 29, and April Mae Herring, 31, were arrested.
Alford, of McBee, was charged with two counts of possession of a stolen pistol, two counts of receiving stolen goods, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and simple possession of marijuana.
Alford posted bond and was transferred to the Marlboro County Detention Center to face a charge of probation violation.
Herring, of Cheraw, was charged with two counts of possession of a stolen pistol, two counts of receiving stolen goods and simple possession of marijuana.
Herring remains in custody at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.
The Hartsville Police Department, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services participated in the search.
