2 killed in SC bar shooting

Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person who shot and killed two men in McCormick County last month.

Steven Banks, 34, of McCormick, and Joel Turner, Jr., 44, of Greenwood, were shot and killed on Nov. 24 during an argument outside of Sapps Bar and Grill on Highway 378 in McCormick County, according to a news release by the State Law Enforcement Division.

At least 100 people were in the bar when a fight broke out and spilled onto the parking lot, the release stated. During the melee, Banks and Turner were shot.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or may have information is asked to call 888-CRIME-SC.
