Suspect wanted for robbing Lexington County business in broad daylight

Law enforcement is searching for the suspect who robbed a Lexington County business Tuesday.

The suspect is accused of armed robbery, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, which is working with the Cayce Department of Public Safety on the investigation.

The incident occurred in the afternoon at American Scrap Iron and Metal South Carolina on Charleston Highway, according to the sheriff’s department. The business is located near the Cayce Farmer’s Market.

There was no word if anybody was injured in the incident, or if a gun was used during the robbery or how much money or anything else that might have been stolen from the business.
