Two people hospitalized after shooting at Garners Ferry Road residence

Two people were hospitalized after being shot Tuesday and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is searching for suspects.

At 9:15 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired call in the 7000 block of Garners Ferry Road. That is near the I-77 flyover.

Upon arriving on the scene, deputies discovered to people had been shot, the sheriff’s department said.

Both gunshot victims were taken to an area hospital. One has non-life threatening injuries, but the other is in serious condition, according to the sheriff’s department.

Deputies say they are searching for two male suspects. One is described wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, the other wearing a black shirt and jeans.
