1 dies from injuries received in Midlands shooting
A Columbia man died Friday nearly a week after he was shot.
Austin Ross, 25, was shot in his upper torso on Dec. 16, between 5 and 6 a.m., on Silver Lake Road, according to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts. He was rushed to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial hospital at the time.
Ross died at 12:51 a.m., Friday from his injuries, Watts said.
