Guns, drugs, cash and bullet-proof vests seized in Richland County by gang task force
Four men were arrested after they were found with drugs, cash, stolen weapons, ammunition and bullet-proof vests following a Midlands Gang Task Force search Tuesday.
The search was of a residence in the 2100 block of Braham Street, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The residence is a block from the intersection with Two Notch Road and not far from the campus of Benedict College.
Alexander Robinson, 27, was charged with possession of a stolen weapon, simple possession of marijuana.
Darius Kaitlin, 27, was charged with possession of ecstasy, possession of a handgun with serial number obliterated, simple possession of marijuana.
Anthony Robinson, 25, was charged with simple possession of marijuana.
Kenneth Robinson, 52, was charged with simple possession of marijuana.
Numerous tip and complaints led to the search, the sheriff’s department said. An AK-47, along with two handguns and ammunition were located inside the residence. Investigators were also able to locate drugs, cash, and two bullet proof vests.
Additional property was located inside the home that was discovered to be stolen, according to the sheriff’s department.
The four have been taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, and could face more charges, according to the sheriff’s department.
