Firefighters battled blaze at popular Columbia restaurant

The Columbia Fire Department battled a blaze at a popular Asian restaurant Thursday night.

The Miyos on Forest, located at 3250 Forest Dr., was the sight of a fire, according to the fire department.

The fire was reported just before 9 p.m. and the fire department tweeted the blaze had been extinguished about 30 minutes later.

Smoke could be seen from the roof and interior of the restaurant, the fire department reported on Twitter.

The fire was contained inside the restaurant’s cooking ventilation, according to the fire department.

No injuries have been reported from the incident.

No other businesses in the strip mall have been impacted by the fire, according to the fire department. Other businesses include Firehouse Subs, Michaelis Matress and Pinnacle Physical Therapy.

All hands were working to fight the fire.
