Three teens face multiple charges for Richland County break in, sheriff seeks fourth

Three teenagers have been arrested and charged for their involvement in a burglary, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a fourth teen wanted for his role in the incident.

Damontay Wheeler, 17, is wanted for burglary, grand larceny, vandalism, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the sheriff’s department.

Wheeler along with 16-year-old Paul Harts, 17-year-old Khalil Robinson and a 15-year-old juvenile are accused of breaking into and burglarizing a residence on Curvewood Road, the sheriff’s department said.

The incident occurred at 10 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2017 at the residence located near Summit Parkway and North Springs Park, the sheriff’s department reported.

Armed with handguns, the teenagers allegedly stole several electronics valued at more than $2,000, according to the sheriff’s department. The suspects are also accused of ripping out the victim’s security cameras causing approximately $650 in damages.

Harts was charged with burglary, larceny, vandalism, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, simple possession of marijuana, possession of crack, and armed robbery.

Robinson was charged with burglary, grand larceny, vandalism, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The 15 year old male juvenile was charged with burglary, grand larceny, vandalism and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Hart, Robinson, and the juvenile have been taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
