Man charged with murder following deadly shooting in Columbia
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with Saturday’s deadly shooting in Columbia, according to the police.
Eddie Jennings, 55, was charged with murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, the Columbia Police Department said Sunday night.
Jennings allegedly shot and killed a man after they argued, police said. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Beaumont Avenue, which is near the intersection of Farrow Road and Harden Street.
The man was found dead, according to police.
Jennings was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
