Suspect allegedly stole gas, pointed gun at Richland County gas station employee

A man accused of pointing a gun at a gas station employee before stealing a significant amount of gas is wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident occurred Jan. 4, at Gazbah gas station and convenience store in the 800 block of St. Andrews Road, according to the sheriff’s department. Gazbah is located near Exit 106A of I-26.

The suspect pumped approximately $50 worth of gas and refused to pay, according to the sheriff’s department. The suspect then engaged an employee un a verbal altercation before he allegedly pointed a handgun at the employee before fleeing.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating the suspect wanted for armed robbery.
